This brief asked for the invention of an animal based on characteristics of existing animals.
I created the animal 'Spine Fish', this fish is based off of underwater cave creatures that are translucent, and normally blind as these caves have no light source, hence the glowing bits. Bringing in a bit of humour to the poster to make it seem more friendly than most cave creatures.

These are two styles to the finished poster, with similar layouts and minor changes.
This poster was created by cutting out shapes with paper and testing them on different paper weights and coloured paper. It takes away some of the flatness with the texture of the paper being layered on top of each other like this.
I gathered assets from throughout the project testing phase and brought them together in the form of screenprinted designs on small rectangular boxes.
